From 2010 to 2016, Canada admitted 1,874,740 new immigrants (permanent residents), and the Northwest Territories received 1,095 new immigrants.

During this period, immigration to the Northwest Territories increased from 135 in 2010 to 185 in 2016 –representing 0.05% and 0.06% of Canada’s immigration respectively.
