Canada Temporary Foreign Workers by Province – 2016
On December 31st, 2016, there were 51,400 temporary foreign workers* (TFWs) in Canada.
On that date, the TFWP was composed by the following categories: other (49%), agricultural workers, which comprised (30%), and live-in caregivers (20%).
On that date, most TFWs resided in Ontario (31%), British Columbia (22.9%) and Alberta (21%).
Most caregivers resided in Ontario (49%), British Columbia (23%) and Alberta (21%).
Agricultural workers mainly resided in Ontario (46%), Quebec (22%) and British Columbia (20%).
About 30% of other temporary workers resided in Alberta, 25% in British Columbia and 15.3% in Ontario.
