In Quebec, the foreign born population increased 28.2% from 851,560 in 2006 to 1,091,305 in 2016.

In Quebec, the largest immigrant populations were from France, Haiti, Morocco, Algeria and Italy; together they accounted for 31% of the foreign-born population in this province.
