Applicants will be assessed for permanent residence before they begin working in Canada
Once they have a work permit, and two years of work experience, they will have access to a pathway for permanent residence
The Home Child Care Provider and the Home Support Worker pilots will accept a maximum of 2,750 principal applicants each
The Home Child Care Provider and the Home Support Worker pilots will begin later this year
The Interim Pathway is for caregivers who arrived in Canada after the changes made in 2014, and it will be open from March 4 to June 4, 2019
