Canada Express Entry Changes 2017

Express Entry system updates the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score

On June 6, 2017, the Express Entry system updated the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of candidates in the pool as follows:

Language Skills

Additional points are granted for candidates with strong French language skills with or without English language skills.

15 points for (NCLC) at level 7 or higher in French (listening, speaking, reading and writing)

15 points for CLB 5 or higher in all in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing).



Siblings in Canada

15 points to candidates with siblings in Canada.

Job Bank

Job Bank registration for Express Entry candidates becomes voluntary for all candidates.

Submission Date

Where a CRS tie exists, all tied candidates will then be ranked based on the date and time of their profile submission.
